Euro 2020 (2021) Football Championship.

The 2020 UEFA European Football Championship (Euro 2020) is the 16th UEFA European Championship, a contest between European football's national teams organized by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).

This version of Euro 2020 was originally scheduled to take place on 12 June-12 July 2020, but a coronavirus outbreak will change that to 11 June-11 July 2021. The key facts on the event including the venues, the groups, the fixture times, and matching times are presented below.


Dates

Opening game: Euro 2020 opens in Rome on 11 June 2021 with the match Turkey v Italy.

Group stage dates: The group stage is played June 11-23.

Group knockout phase dates: The knockout phase stage is played June 26-July 11.

The final dates: The final is played on July 11.


Cities and arenas

All 12 Euro 2020 countries (England, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Romania, Hungary, Denmark, Italy, Azerbaijan, Russia, Ireland, and Scotland) will be host to the event with a total of 12 stadiums being used during the tournament.

Note: In light of the pandemic situation, there will be reduced stadium capacity.

All teams that finish first and second in their respective groups as well as four of the best third-place teams advance to the knockout stage.
