Tips for Getting Corporate Event Entertainment 2021

Tips for Getting Corporate Event Entertainment
Focus on immersive experiences

Our world is increasingly based on experiences. What is it no surprise that experiential marketing is continuing to grow? For example, escape rooms are popping up everywhere, pop-ups are growing everywhere, and more. According to a recent study, 72 percent of millennials would rather spend money on experiences than on material items. People want to feel like they are a part of the experience, so why not use that knowledge in your event entertainment? You will not only have a greater buzz for your event, but you will be adding valuable content that your attendees will enjoy.

Keep an eye on your budget

Entertainment is not cheap. Create an event budget before booking any entertainment and ensure you know the costs of the entertainment and any supporting elements they will require. As an example, a performing aerial artist might also need a structure in which to do their acts, lighting so the audience can see them, and sound speakers so the audience can hear their music. A live band may require a stage, lighting, and sound as well. Entertainment may not always provide the additional support elements you need, so check with your entertainment provider before booking any entertainment for your event. Think about the big picture when hiring entertainment to avoid any surprises to your budget.

Keep your eye on your event goals

With entertainment, the latest trends can be enticing just for the sake of being trendy — but this is not necessarily a good idea. What is important is to think about your event goals. Why are you holding it? Everything you plan from food to entertainment should contribute to those goals. Just because something sounds cool will not necessarily mean it fits into the concept of the event.

Consider your audience's needs.

When you are planning your event entertainment you really need to think about your attendees. Understand what they enjoy before the entertainment is scheduled, and what their demographics are. Sending out pre-event surveys and analyzing your event software are great ways to figure out how your attendees want to spend their time.

Your attendees will be seated in breakouts for the entirety of the day, so requiring them to sit and watch a performance for an hour is likely not the most effective activity. Something that allows them to move around will probably be more appealing.

Do your attendees have a busy day of workouts planned? Do they want to sit down and enjoy a show? If so, make sure you know what they have on their schedule before and after your entertainment. This will improve your chances for entertainment success.
